The new X-SPAND™ HD Storage System brings unprecedented performance, capacity and price to the rackmount storage market. X-SPAND™ HD allows users to add up to 16 drives or 16 Terabytes of hot-swappable, high performance serial ATA hard disk storage to virtually any rackmount server. With an unparalleled 400 MB/s write throughput (16 drive/RAID-0), X-SPAND™ HD is a simple and affordable solution for high definition (HD) video, multi-stream standard definition (SD) video and performance demanding backup jobs. With its remarkably compact 3U rack footprint and single SATA multilane host connection, the X-SPAND™ HD Storage System can quickly and easily be integrated into any standard 19" rack cabinet. The available RAID host adapter provides RAID 0,1,5,10 compatibility with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux servers.
SIMPLE - FLEXIBLE MANAGEMENT
With the available RAID host controller, the X-SPAND™ HD provides the most flexible, high performance SATA storage array available. From a central GUI interface the 16 drives can be configured in the most suitable RAID (0,1,5,10) format providing maximum productivity. Users can start with a minimum of 1 disk drive and add disk drives as more storageis needed. With up to 300 MB/s per SATA drive, the X-SPAND™ PRO commands SCSI storage level performance but at a more cost-effective price per gigabyte. With the available RAID host adapter, X-SPAND™ PRO can be striped RAID-0 for performance or RAID-5 for data protection. With a huge 16 terabytes capacity, the X-SPAND™ PRO also brings high performance versatility to small business backup with short backup and recovery windows. Because the X-SPAND™ PRO hard drives can also act as independent drive volumes, the users decide how to configure the storage system based on their specific storage needs.
