Performance Enhanced

The new X-SPAND™ PRO eSATA Storage System is the next step in the evolution of performance enhanced plug and play rack mount storage for servers. X-SPAND™ PRO allows users to add up to 4.0 Terabytes of hot-swappable, high performance serial ATA hard disk storage to virtually any Windows, Linux or Macintosh rackmount server with a serial ATA host adapter. X-SPAND™ PRO is a simple and affordable solution for server storage expansion and performance demanding backup jobs for small business. With its remarkably compact 1U rack footprint, the X-SPAND™ PRO Storage System can be easily integrated and stacked into any standard 19" rack cabinet for instant high-performance storage. The X-SPAND Pro's 1U chassis helps maximize the valuable cabinet space and leave more room for servers.

Infiniband Technology

The X-SPAND™ PRO offers simple yet robust host connectivity, with a single multilane Infiniband data cable. Infiniband offers secure locking connectors and reliable data transfers, ideal for server and desktop environments. X-SPAND™ PRO also provides up to 6x the performance of similar FireWire and USB connected solutions.

Management Features

With up to 300 MB/s per SATA drive, the X-SPAND™ PRO commands SCSI storage level performance but at a more cost-effective price per gigabyte. With a qualifying RAID host adapter, X-SPAND™ PRO can be striped RAID-0 for performance or RAID-5 for data protection. With a huge 4 TB desktop capacity, the X-SPAND™ PRO also brings high performance versatility to small business backup with short backup and recovery windows. Because the X-SPAND™ PRO hard drives can also act as independent drive volumes, the users decide how to configure the storage system based on their specific storage needs.
