The new X-SPAND™ XL eSATA Storage System is a new breed of enhanced desktop eSATA storage. X-SPAND™ XL provides up to 2.5 Terabytes of high performance serial ATA hard disk storage on the desktop through a single eSATA host connection. With the included Kano S-LINK K3542W eSATA host adapter X-SPAND XL can be connected to virtually any Mac, Windows or Linux host system. As storage needs grow, simply add another X-SPAND XL system to the S-LINK host adapter for an unprecedented 5 TB of desktop storage. X-SPAND™ XL is a simple and affordable solution for uncompressed pro-video storage and performance demanding backup for small business. With its remarkably compact footprint, the X-SPAND™ XL Storage System can be discretely integrated into any office or studio environment.
SIMPLE - FLEXIBLE MANAGEMENT
With it's port multiplier (PM) RAID architecture, the X-SPAND™ XL provides the most flexible, high performance eSATA storage array available. The PM controller allows users to create a 5-drive striped RAID-0 volume for performance or RAID-1 and RAID-10 volumes for mirrored drive redundancy. With the removable drive trays, the X-SPAND™ XL allows users to expand storage hardware as their needs grow. In JBOD mode, all 5 hard drives act as independent drive volumes and cafn be hot swapped making it convenient to store and manage multiple projects. The "cable-less" drive expansion trays make upgrading and installing hard drives effortless. The PM RAID hardware and included RAID management utility work together to provided a simple and efficient GUI management tool for quick set up and monitoring.
